Summary
The technique of intravenous regional anaesthesia for the upper limb is described and its use in 225 patients is reported. The method can be used for elective or emergency surgery on the hand or upper limb and has been found to be safe, simple and effective.

Description de la technique d'anesthésie régionale par voie intraveineuse pour le membre supérieur qui a été utilisée chez 225 malades. Cette méthode peut être employée dans les interventions portant sur la main et le membre supérieur, qu'il s'agisse de chirurgie réglée ou de chirurgie d'urgence. Elle s'est révélée sûre, simple et efficace.
