The genome of B. subtilis phage SPP1: Assignment of 5′–3′-polarity to the complementary strands of SPP1 DNA

Summary

The left part of the SPP1 chromosome can be defined by the presence of dispensable DNA. With this definition, the polarities of the separable H and L strands of SPP1 DNA are 5′–3′ and 3′–5′, respectively, from left to right.
