Summary
Five patients with spondylolisthesis which caused symptoms were treated by spinal fusion and direct current bone-growth stimulation. After ten weeks bony fusion was observed and the patients returned to their normal activities. The implanted stimulator appears to promote early fusion.
Résumé
Cinq malades présentant un spondylolisthésis symptomatique ont été traités par arthrodèse du rachis et stimulation électrique. La fusion a été obtenue en dix semaines et les opérés ont pu reprendre une activité normale. Le stimulateur à électrodes implantées paraît donc déterminer une fusion osseuse rapide.
