Summary
A patient with melorheostosis of the right lower limb is described with the clinical findings and radiographic appearances which include angiographs and microradiographs. Tissue was taken from the knee joint at the time of arthrodesis and examined by histological, histochemical and biomechanical techniques. It is concluded that the bone in melorheostosis is not different from normal bone.
Résumé
Chez une malade atteinte de mélorhéostose du membre inférieur droit, une étude radiographique complète et des prélèvements biopsiques des lésions ont pu être pratiqués. Une revue de la littérature a été faite.
Les auteurs décrivent le tableau clinique et présentent une étude histologique, micro-chimique et durimétrique des tissus prélevés au niveau du genou, à l'occasion d'une arthrodèse. L'os mélorhéostosique n'est pas de nature différente de l'os normal.
