Chirurgia plastica Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

A case of abnormal female external genitalia and absence of the umbilicus is presented. The absence of bladder exstrophy and a complete epispadias is unusual as is the association with omphalocele.

A simple two stage reconstruction of the genitalia and umbilicus is described and the importance of pre school intervention to correct even minor anomalies is illustrated by the psychological change occuring in a child after construction of an umbilicus.
