Zusammenfassung
Die Miracidien von Fasciola hepatica benötigen Sauerstoff für ihre Entwicklung. Die Kurve des Sauerstoffverbrauches der sich entwickelnden Miracidien hat eine sigmoide Form.
Frisch geschlüpfte Miracidien hatten bei 25° C einen QO2 von 10,3. Völlige Verdunkelung setzte den QO2 der Miracidien um etwa 20% gegenüber den bei Beleuchtung gemessenen Werten herab.
Zu Beginn der Embryonalentwicklung enthalten die Eier etwa 32% Glykogen in ihrer Trockenmasse. Ein meßbarer Verbrauch dieses Glykogens erfolgt erst, wenn die Embryonen 50–60 μ lang geworden sind. Kurz vor dem Schlüpfen der Miracidien enthalten die Eier noch etwa 15% Glykogen.
