Der Puma (Felis concolor) als neuer Wirt für Ancylostoma caninum (Ercolani, 1859) Linstow 1889

Zusammenfassung

Bei einem im Frankfurter Zoologischen Garten gehaltenen Puma wiesen wir durch die Kotuntersuchung und durch Kotkulturen Hakenwurmeier bzw. -larven nach. Die in Übertragungsversuchen auf drei Katzen und einen Hund gewonnenen Würmer konnten eindeutig als Ancylostoma caninum bestimmt werden. Es handelte sich nicht um die bisher allein aus dem Puma bekannte Art A. buckleyi. Die Ansteckungsmöglichkeiten des Puma durch den Hundehakenwurm werden kurz besprochen.
