Summary

Echinorhynchotaenia tritesticulata is briefly redescribed and an emmended generic diagnosis is provided. Its affinities and geographical distribution are noted. Echinorhynchotaenia lucknowensis Singh, 1956 is reduced to synonymy with E. tritesticulata. The genus Echinorhynchotaenia now includes only two species: E. tritesticulata and E. furcouterina.
