Zusammenfassung

Summary

All postembryonal developmental stages of Argas (Persicargas) persicus may be infected with Aegyptianella pullorum and are capable to transmit this agent in the following stages.

The life-cycle of Aegyptianella pullorum in the tick Argas (Persicargus) persicus comprises three distinct phases: the development and reproduction in the epithelial cells of the gut, in the haemocytes and in the cells of the salivary glangs.
