Studies on the morphology of Cotugnia digonopora Pasquale 1890 (Cestoda: Davaineidae)

Part III. Hooks and Rostellum

Summary

The structure and the histology of the hooks and rostellum in C. digonopora are described. The hooks are approximately 175 in number and do not possess a guard. The blade is thick and strongly curved. The rostellum is rudimentary and is without a rostellar sac. The muscles responsible for the movements of the rostellum are also described.
