Bone scintigraphy of myositis ossificans in apallic syndrome

Abstract

An apallic patient with intensive extraosseous calcification as shown by whole body bone scanning and plane radiography is presented. The role of increased osteoblastogenic alkaline phosphatase in the pathogenesis of ectopic bone formation is discussed.
