Summary
Low molecular weight components which were present in commercial polyethylene resins in minor amounts were analyzed in detail by gas chromatography (GC) and mass spectroscopy (MS). More than forty oligoethylenic homologues were identified, which were consisted of a variety of alkanes, alkenes, cycloalkanes, aromatics, alkanones, alkanol and esters.
