Summary
The effects of atropine compounds [atropine, (+)- and (−)-hyoscyamine, methylatropine] on isolated cervical ganglia of rats has been investigated. The following results were obtained:
-
1.
In concentration of 1·10−5 atropine caused a beginning depression of synaptic transmission in sympathetic ganglia.
-
2.
The effects of (+)- and (−)-hyoscyamine were qualitatively and quantitatively equal.
-
3.
The ganglionic blocking action of methylatropine in isolated ganglia was five times greater than the effect of atropine.
