Zusammenfassung
1. Durch die gleichzeitige Verabreichung der Indol-Alkaloide Harmin oder Ibogain mit Rigidyl (Diäthylaminoäthyl-benzhydryläther-hydrochlorid) entsteht bei der Maus ein reversibles Syndrom zentraler Erregung mit psychomotorischen Anfällen, Retropulsion und Jactatio capitis. Von diesen Symptomen zeigt nur die Jactatio capitis eine lineare Abhängigkeit vom Logarithmus der Dosis jeder der beiden jeweils kombinierten Substanzen.
2. Jactatio capitis tritt auch nach toxischen Dosen von Harmin, nicht jedoch nach Ibogain und Rigidyl auf; sie entsteht deshalb nach Harmin-Rigidyl durch Potenzierung von Harmin, nach Ibogain-Rigidyl durch Coalition.
3. Es tritt keine Jactatio capitis auf, wenn Harmin oder Ibogain durch Mescalin, Compound 6 (1:1:3-Triphenyl-3-aminopropan-1-ol), Dimethyltryptamin, Lysergsäurediäthylamid oder Bufotenin ersetzt wird. Rigidyl läßt sich nicht ersetzen durch Benzedrin (Amphetamin), Pervitin (Methamphetamin), Morphin, Cocain, Scopolamin, Mescalin, Tetrahydro-β-naphthylamin, Ritalin (Methylphenidate), Benadryl (Diphenhydramin), Trasentin (Adiphenin) und Benactyzin.
4. Antagonisten der Jactatio capitis nach Harmin-Rigidyl sind: Chlorpromazin (Megaphen), Chlorprothixen (N 714 trans, Truxal), Reserpin, 5-Oxytryptamin (Serotonin), Mephenesin (Myanesin), Meprobamat, Prenderol, Diphenylhydantoin-Na, Trimethadion (Tridione), Phenobarbital-Na und Thiopental-Na, jedoch nicht: Atropin, Scopolamin, Caramiphen (Parpanit), Benzhexol (Artane), Dihydroergotamin, Lysergsäurediäthylamid (LSD-25), Brom-Lysergsäurediäthylamid (BOL-148), Hydergin, Yohimbin, Benactyzin, Captodiamin (Covatin), Tryptamin, Bulbocapnin und Apomorphin.
5. Diese Befunde werden diskutiert und zwei Hypothesen zur Entstehung endogener und Arzneimittel-Psychosen vorgeschlagen.
