Conclusion
The investigation made so far has been intended to stress the usefulness of statistical taxonomy methods in the study and hence the understanding of industrial interdepences and their evolution. We have taken the investigations made by ISCO as our base and have been able to delineate the various economic periods clearly, showing which industrial aggregations were formed, which industries followed a different trend of their own.
Without wishing to overestimate the importance of these methods, which must be considered merely as a starting point for a further economic analysis, we are enabled through them to establish and propose objective configurations or classifications, that is without having recourse to the necessarily subjective opinion of the researcher endeavouring to analyse a market situation.
