Abstract
Organised village or farm communities in the Republic of Cameroon are excellent experimental grounds where adapted rural development strategies are succeeding. Success in such undertakings has been brought about by the fact that planners and policy makers are now taking time to discuss and plan wi3h the populations for whom the projects are meant. This method avoids performing in isolation, and overrides the diffusion of uncoordinated and fragmented ideas.
