Rhombic dodecahedral secretory granules in glucagon producing islet cells

Summary

By tilting experiments in the electron microscope evidence was found for crystalline islet A2-granules of Xiphophorus helleri H. to be rhombic dodecahedral and thus to belong to the cubic system.
