Summary

Myomuscular junctions between muscle fibers in the gill sacs of the Atlantic hagfish, Myxine glutinosa, were examined by electron microscopy. According to the presence of sarcolemmal differentiations typical of myotendinous junctions, the myomuscular junctions can be described as a symmetric myotendinous junction
