Das auriculotemporale Syndrom

Zusammenfassung

Das ATS wird durch Parotisaffektion hervorgerufen und besteht in Schmerzen, Parästhesien, Hyperämie und Hyperhidrose im Wangen-Schläfenbereich auf gustatorischen Reiz. Das Syndrom ist also eine pathologische lokalisierte Form des gustatorischen Schwitzens, für das wir die Bezeichnung „gusto-sudoraler Reflex“ vorschlagen. Eine neue Theorie für das Zustandekommen des ATS wird auf 2 Faktoren basiert: Läsion der thermoregulatorischen, aus dem Halssympathikus stammenden Schweißbahn und Dauerirritation sensibler und vegetativer Nervenfasern durch Parotisnarbe. Zusätzliches Hinzutreten von gustatorischen oder cholinergischen Reizen löst dann das Syndrom über die kraniale Schweißbahn, den N. Facialis aus, während thermische Reize nur Hypooder Anhidrose zur Folge haben.
