Conclusion

The AACC-DACC/ASVCP report is extremely welcome and timely, and our thanks are due to them for their efforts in publishing the views of many comparative clinical pathologists. This author has suggested a number of modifications, with which others may or may not agree: however, it is felt that there is sufficient common ground, given some further discussion and negotiation, to make the goal of an agreed international approach attainable.
