Summary

Restoration of voiding function has become a major part of modern urology. The therapeutic modalities are numerous and involve such different methods as bladder training; biofeedback; pharmacological manipulation; intermittent clean self-catheterization; nerve block; nerve resection; nerve stimulation; and out-flow-improving surgical procedures, including stents, conservative incontinence surgery, continence prostheses and appliances, bladder augmentation and depressurization and total bladder substitution.
