Berichtet wird über die Fortschritte, die allgemein auf dem Gebiete der operativen Behandlung des Auges in den letzten 5 Jahrzehnten erreicht worden sind und darauf hingewiesen, daß diese insbesondere dem praktisch tätigen Augenarzt die Eingriffe am Auge wesentlich erleichtert und den Rahmen seiner möglichen operativen Tätigkeit erweitert haben.

Ausführlich werden die Erfolge besprochen, die auf dem Gebiete der Keratoplastik und der Netzhautablösung in dem gleichen Zeitabschnitt erzielt worden sind.

Il s'agit d'un rapport sur les progrès réalisés dans le traitement opératoire de l'oeil au cours des derniers cinquante ans. Ceux-ci ont facilité les interventions ophtalmologiques particulièrement pour l'oculiste installé et ils ont élargi le cadre de ses possibilités chirurgicales.

En détail on donne un compte rendu des succès atteints dans le domaine de la kératoplastie et du décollement de la rétine.

Summary

This is a report of the general progresses of the surgical treatment of the eye during the last five decades hinting to the fact that they essentially facilitate ophthalmologic operations particularly for the ophthalmologic practioner and enlarge the frame of his possible operative activity.

There follows a detailed discussion of the successes contemporarily obtained in the matter of keratoplasty and retinal detachment.
