A note on the First Technology Assessment Tasks at Key Stage 1

Abstract

This note discusses the introduction of National Curriculum Technology into an overcrowded Primary curriculum and how a Local authority and Teachers reacted to the first assessments in 1992 of Design and Technology and Information Technology of seven year olds, i.e. children who are at the end of Key Stage 1. Some training and management issues arising from the assessment are highlighted.
