Bilateral synovial coracoclavicular joints: MRI demonstration

Abstract

Bilateral coracoclavicular joints, an anatomical variation, are described by radiography and MRI. MRI enabled precise identification of the nature of these joints. They were true synovial joints with cartilage and synovial fluid. To the best of the author's knowledge, this is the first demonstration of such joints by MRI.
