Isolated contracture of the long head of biceps femoris muscle

Summary

A rare case of contracture of the long head of biceps femoris in a soccer player is described. Degeneration was probably caused by repeated corticosteroid injections. He made a full recovery after release of the shortened long head.

Description d'un rare cas de contracture de la longue portion du biceps fémoral chez un foot-balleur professionnel. Il est très probable que la dégénérescence de la partie proximale du muscle soit due à des infiltrations multiples (19) de corticostéroïdes. Les troubles ont disparu après allongement par désinsertion de la longue portion du biceps fémoral.
