Abstract

Urethral prolapse occurring in patients with vulvovestibular fistula has not been reported to date. We present two such cases in 7.5- and 9.2-year-old girls, respectively, in whom urethral prolapse developed after anal transposition. The relationship between the two entities is still unclear. It also remains controversial whether urethral prolapse is the result of a local anomaly, anal transposition, or some other cause. Constipation and increased intra-abdominal pressure seem to have been the most likely etiological factors in our patients.
