Abstract

During a 6-year period 31 patients with popliteal cyst were treated by sclerosing therapy with ethoxysclerol 1%. The injection was repeated after 3–4 weeks. In 14 patients 3 interventions were necessary. Four patients required more than three treatments, but 3 of them had been operated upon previously. In our patients, the ethoxysclerol sclerotherapy produced good results without recurrences.
