Fixation of perineal dressing

An original application of the disposable surgical mask

Abstract

A satisfactory method of fixation of a perineal dressing has been elusive to the pediatric surgeon. A simple and effective means of holding gauze and packing in the region of the perineum in infants and young children is described using a disposable surgical mask.
