On the possible detection of large-scale solar meridional motions by analyzing A-type spots from the Greenwich photoheliographic results

Abstract

Young A-type sunspots taken from the Greenwich Photoheliographic Results (1940–1976) were used to search for systematic meridional motions. No indication for a systematic pattern of meridional motions could be found.
