f-values for Tb ii and a search for terbium in the solar photosphere

Abstract

Oscillator strengths have been obtained for the first time for 12 transitions of Tb ii. Solar implications based on these f-values and on recent hyperfine structure data are discussed. More especially, a detailed investigation of a weak absorption feature located around λ 3658 is presented.
