Problemes d'autoimmunite dans les uveites

Documenta Ophthalmologica Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Autoimmunity is a common explanation of the pathogeny of sympathetic ophthalmitis and phacoanaphylaxis. The histopathological aspects, the experimental reproduction of these diseases agree with this interpretation. The nature of the antigens and their distribution in the body, their natural or acquired character are discussed. The presence of humoral antibodies and of an hypersensitivity of the delayed type are shown in patients suffering from these uveites and other uveal and lens diseases.
