Abstract

Digital enhancement techniques are applied to digitized solar X-ray photography. Two-dimensional Fourier filtering, intensity thresholding, and histogram equalization techniques are described, and their effects on the X-ray image are compared and analyzed. Possible applications of these digital techniques to solar photography interpretation are suggested.
