Abstract

The longitude distribution of X-ray bright points shows very strong variations when plotted in a heliocentric (Carrington) coordinate system. In addition, the latitude distribution can be interpreted as having two components : a uniformly distributed component and one having a distribution similar to that of active regions, occurring mostly within ±30° of the equator.
