Abstract
From the analysis of the motions of sunspot groups recorded at Catania Astrophysical Observatory over a 7-years period from 1972 to 1978 the mean angular velocity as a function of latitude and age is calculated. The results suggest that the age of photospheric tracer (sunspot groups) affects the rotation curve slope. The implications of this result are discussed.
