Isophotal photometry and morphological changes in the flares

Abstract

We report measurements made on the brightness in Hα of all parts of the flare photographed through a birefringent filter centered on Hα, using a scanning isodensitometer. From obtained isophotes of the flares we derived some information on the morphological changes in the flare and estimated the total energy in Hα of the flare.
