Abstract
The chromosomes of two native Japanese curculionid weevils, Myllocerus fumosus Faust and Macrocorynus griseoides Zumpt, collected in the warmest part of Japan, Kyûshu Island, were studied in germ cell squash preparations. Males of both species are unknown. Both species are triploid with exactly 33 chromosomes.
