Summary
Kinetic studies of β-glucosidase activity of immobilized Alcaligenes faecalis indicated the presence of internal diffusional limitations by an increase in Vmax and η, and a decrease in Km′ as particle size decreased. A small effect of external diffusional limitation in a batch reactor was noted as Vmax decreased and Km′ increased with stirrer speed.
