A calorimetric determination of maintenance energy requirements during the aerobic growth of Klebsiella aerogenes in batch culture

Theoretical values for the maximum yield, heat output, conversion of substrate energy and number of generations possible for carbon-limited growth of K. aerogenes in batch culture are reported. Values for the maintenance energy and maintenance coefficients are reported for growth in glucose- and α-methylglucoside - limited media.
