Abstract

B-chromosomes were observed in a Polish natural population of Tetrix tenuicornis. Three males showed a mitotically unstable and probably acrocentric B-chromosome, similar in size to the sex chromosome. In one specimen two forms of the B-chromosome occurred in various combinations (i.e. 6A+X; 6A+B; A; 6A+X+B; 6A+X+2B).
