A note on crack-forking in anti-plane strain deformation

Abstract

Consideration is given to the problem of crack-forking in anti-plane strain deformation, the condition for forking being discussed in relation to the analysis presented in a recent paper by Simonsen and Jones.

Résumé

On considère le problème de la bifurcation d'une fissure sollicitée en état de déformations antiplanaires, et l'on discute les conditions qui conduisent à bifurcation, en se rapportant à l'analyse présentée par Simonsen et Jones dans leur récent article.

Zusammenfassung

Das Problem der Abzweigung eines Risses wird in einem antiplanitären Verformungsgebiet untersucht. Die Bedingungen der Abzweigung werden im Licht des letztens von Simonsen und Jones publizierten Berichtes untersucht.
