Summary
A soilless culture system is described whereby all the necessary steps of raising rice seedlings, including seeding, surface-sterilization, germination and growing of seedlings, can be conveniently achieved within a small plastic container. The system is especially suited for experiments with massive number of entries and can e.g. be used for screening of rice genotypes for salt tolerance.
