On the dynamic behaviour of micro-damaged stratified media

Abstract

The effect of interlamina micro-cracks in a periodically layered medium on interactions and a wave propagation is investigated. The refined continuum model of micro-damaged layered media which takes into account the length-scale effects, is proposed. The general results are applied to the free vibration analysis.
