Abstract

The symposium was organized to provide a survey of the present status of barley genetics research. This survey fully served its purpose; many interesting results and important problems of barley genetics and barley breeding were discussed.

With regard to a few problems some specialized participants decided on close international cooperation. Convocations related to these agreements were presented as resolutions and will be worked out by an elected Permanent Barley Committee.
