Plant regeneration from cultured embryos derived from Hordeum vulgare L. Pollinated with H. Bulbosum L.

Summary

Plant regeneration rates from embryos derived from Hordeum vulgare x H. bulbosum were recorded over a 3 1/2 year period. % total plant regeneration (haploids + VB hybrids) varied to some extent but did not seem to be influenced by season or male parent. % VB production (and thus chromosome elimination) was however markedly affected by season and the genotype of the pollinator.
