The prevalence of dental caries is quite high in many countries across the world. To prevent progression of dental caries, detection of initial carious lesions is crucial. The initial carious lesions can be treated conservatively with a micro-invasive treatment modality called caries infiltration to arrest caries progression and avoid further operative intervention.
