Electrification in agricultural engineering technologies and synergies

Electrification is also on the rise in agricultural engineering. The existing series products in the fields of cars, commercial vehicles and industrial trucks can often be used with modifications for agricultural machinery, butalso specially developed solutions are required. The application area islocated both in the drivetrain of the tractor and at various points on the implement. ZF relies on modular kits as well as the integration of electrical components into a wide range of applications for the production of numbers.

Motivation

These days, tractors and implements used in agriculture are highly complex systems with extensive ECU and sensor integration. But increasing requirements and new technological possibilities mean that a step change is coming. Here are the key drivers and the potential solutions offered by electrification:
