An event is serious (based on the ICH definition) when the patient outcome is:
* congenital anomaly
* other medically important event
* Drug overdose
In a study of 42 patients, nine adult men (aged 28−53 years) were described, who developed various toxicities due to drug overdose or drug toxicity following administration of alprazolam, codeine, diphenhydramine, fentanyl, fluoxetine, metamfetamine, morphine or quetiapine. Eventually, all men died secondary to drug toxicity/intoxication or accidental drug overdose [indications, dosages, routes and durations of administrations to reactions onset not stated].
