Synopsys | QTronic | US Software Company Extends Portfolio

The North American software company Synopsys has acquired QTronic GmbH. The purchase of the supplier of simulation and test tools and services for software and system development in the automotive industry headquartered in Germany is scheduled for completion at the end of the year. "Our new owner, with a turnover of 3.1 billion dollars (2018) is one of the leading software providers of the chip industry. The new constellation offers QTronic, a much smaller company, the stability that our customers require in order to continue investing in the toolchain," says Jakob Mauss from QTronic. The company will also gain access to Synopsys' global sales network in almost all automotive markets in the world. QTronic is expecting an acceleration in the worldwide expansion of its tools for the virtual validation of automotive software.
