Vehicles for future mobility solutions can draw on a wide range of potential drive systems. In each particular case, choosing which one to use will be based on assessment criteria, such as CO2 emissions while driving (tank-to-wheel). IAV centers attention on the aspects of manufacturing costs and ecological sustainability of different battery systems down to cell level — and expands the evaluation spectrum when comparing battery-electric and combustion-engine-powered vehicles.

Discussion subjects

Today, mobility is changing at a rapid pace for reasons ranging from new transport technologies and drive concepts to customized services geared towards meeting consumer needs. The general framework (for instance CO2fleet emissions) is also continuing to move forward. In principle, technologies need to be assessed in an overall perspective.
