Mobility 4.0 - On the Road toward Mobility Services

Cloud-based mobility services will help solve the traffic problems of today and tomorrow. They include flexible concepts that transport people and goods multimodally or through sharing, as well as services that make driving safer, less stressful and more efficient.

Traffic density is increasing

According to forecasts, the need to move people and goods will continue to increase around the world. Within the next 15 years, road-based freight transport is set to increase 50 %. Higher traffic density often results in time- consuming and costly traffic jams, increasing emissions, and higher safety requirements. To meet growing mobility needs and make road transport more sustainable and safer despite increasing traffic density, automation, electrification, connectivity, and flexible mobility are decisive pillars in developing the vehicles of the future.
